Lola restaurant in Cleveland, Ohio has bacon ice-cream with waffles. Delish!

Katie, I just read the greatest article and immediately thought of you. They have a Baconfest in Chicago! Your next trip…. http://www.seriouseats.com/2009/10/bacon-fest-chicago-illinois.html

I just had to share that it was the unrelenting thought of bacon (reading recipes that contained bacon and day dreaming about it for days) that broke my 11 years of vegitarianism. It was the first food I tried when re-introducing meat back into my diet and boy was it tasty!

Katie, I just started reading your blog and I love it! You’re hysterical. And by the way, I thought you might be interested: this past summer at the WI state fair they were serving chocolate covered bacon on a stick. That’s right, on a STICK! And it was slightly delicious and slightly confusing. Like crunchy chocolate with a fatty, bacon-y after taste. Mmm.

Welcome Amanda – and promise me that next summer you will send me some of that choco-bacon-on-a-stick….your description had my head spinnin!

XO – Katie

I’m not sure how I feel about the fact that when I see anything bacon I think of someone I don’t even really know :)

This was listed on Martha Stewart’s Gift Guide (http://gifts.marthastewart.com/)

Brickstory,

Honestly I am honored to be thought of when bacon is mentioned. It makes my porky heart smile :) I’m off to check that gift guide right now. Which leads me to my next question – how come Martha doesn’t have an entire section dedicated to bacon? Hmmm….something to think about.

XO – Katie

I thought you would appreciate this. If anything, it should make you do a double-take…

You NEED to visit that bookstore and check out the “Bacon” section!

Hungry for a little more pork action? Yeah. Me too. That is why I created a little section purely devoted to all things Bacon!

And remember girls - that every hoggy slice consumed earns you another jewel in heaven :)

Found a few ideas that I could eat with a spoon (no chocolate sauce required! Yes. They are that sweet.) :

    No-Sew Flutter Cape
    Ruffle Necklace Waffle Shirt

My name is Katie Bower. All Bower Power (ABP) is my blog baby. Tragically, it is only a mediocre brainchild of a site that is written by a curiously strange girl (who talks in third person) who has sported a ginormous head since birth. ABP is devoted to suburban home decor, renovations and the fine art of laughing. Living life large with an even larger head has equipped me to be an equal opportunity jokester. The opportunity to laugh at yourself may exist in the near future. Go ahead and take it...cause afterall, laugh lines are the new skinny.
